|The dozen individually priced crucifix pendants (KEB 23A-L), handsomely decorated and fashioned in sterling silver by skilled Navajo silversmiths in the late 20th century, are among the few remaining pieces from the once large inventory base of Kendra Bowers, a well known anthropologist and former ethnographic arts dealer. Only one of a handful in the US who has been board-certified by the American Society of Appraisers for Personal Property/Native American Art, Kendra’s credits also include broker, consultant, lecturer, museum curator, and trip leader. Included in the group are three crucifixes each with a single cabochon of either turquoise, malachite or black onyx, and a number with the hallmarks of their makers including AM, Gilbert Tom, WT, and LF. Inexpensively priced between $75-$95 and a comfortable size to wear at 2 13/16” to 3 ¼” in height, they can be easily cleaned to remove the small amount of light tarnish that has formed on the surface over the past few decades. Each photo lists first the item inventory number in brackets, a brief description, approximate date, condition, and finally the price. None of these have been worn previously, and every piece comes with a biographical sketch about Kendra Bowers, along with our certificate guaranteeing authenticity. Select or ask any question by first referring either to the Trocadero ITEM # or the STOCK # (BOWERS.2) at the top of this page, and THEN to the item’s INVENTORY NUMBER as shown in the brackets on its photo. NOTE: if you would like to view all items remaining in the Bowers’ consignment, enter the single work BOWERS into the search link. If you’d like to view a large number of our various other listings, and at the same time limit your browsing, try our ‘TWELVE different items on a single page format’ by simply spelling out the word TWELVE in the search box. That will quickly bring up all of our listings that have twelve different items on a page, each individually priced! And if you want to further refine the group, add one or two additional modifiers at the same time such as ‘Indian, Precolumbian, Stone, Pot, Gold, etc.’ Any item that has been sold will be so noted on its photograph.|
