Glorious Shiebler 9.5" Sterling spoon in the 1895 Maintenon pattern enameled in lovely shadings
of blues to white to pink. Rare.
Marked "Black, Starr & Frost" for the Retailer New York, New York ~ 1874 - Present Excellent quality makers and retailers of sterling holloware and novelties. Successors to Ball, Black & Co. Also hallmark with winged "S", Sterling" and "PAT 95" for the Maker : George W. Shiebler & Co. New York, NY ~ 1876 - 1910 Fine quality maker, flatware, holloware and novelty items. Exceptional Medallion and Art Nouveau. Schiebler also acquired and produced from some of the pattern dies of H. Hebbard, J. Polhemus, A. Coles and Wood Excellent vintage condition. Small enamel repair and couple of minor cracks. Measurements: 9-1/2" by 3" 4 oz (114 grams) |
