Los Castillo Tea Set  Early Mixed Metals and Wood

This is an incredible early "Metales Casados" (married metals) tea set by Los Castillo in copper and silver. Wonderful curved wood handles. Signed "Los Castillo Taxco" and marked "MEXICO" The tea pot and the creamer lids are hinged. All three pieces have a thick silver coating inside. Pre-Columbian silver figure with copper eyes in top of all three lids. Very early, high quality hand hammered set. Very good vintage condition with no damage or cracks on the wood handles. The sugar lid has a couple of dents on the edge. Coffee pot is 4-1/2" tall by 6" wide and 10" from handle to spout. Creamer measures 4" tall by 4" wide and 6-1/2" from handle to spout. The sugar measures 4" tall by 4" wide and 8" handle to handle.
