TLAQUEPAQUE EARLY BLACK GLAZED POTTERY JUG

Fantastic Tlaquepaque black tourist pottery jug with cap. Circa 1920s-30s. Gorgeous hand painted design depicting a man carrying a load of pineapples on one side and a man with his sombrero perched on a load of sugar cane or folded sarapes with a beautiful cactus background. The colors stand out against the black background. Marked at the bottom "Mexico" and makers initials "VW". Measurements:6" in diameter and 7" high (including the handle). Very good condition. Some minor glaze flaking on the bottom and around the spout, and a chip on the edge of the stopper.
