Wonderful silver and rosewood salad server set by William Spratling.

These pieces correspond to Spratling's first design period (1931-1946).

Beautiful rosewood handles, raised rope design at neck and hand hammered finish on the inside of both pieces.

Signed with the early WS hallmark, and with secondary and tertiary marks "TAXCO" and "925". This mark was used from 1933 to 1938.

Excellent vintage condition.

Measurements:
Each piece is 12 1/2" long by 2 1/4" wide.

Weight:
Fork 4.4 ounces (124 grams), spoon 4.8 ounces (138 grams).
