TLAQUEPAQUE CHICK POTTERY COVERED BOWL Very Rare
Wonderful and huge Tlaquepaque pottery baby chick casserole.

Circa 1940s.

This is a very rare Mexican folk art chicken with its head down pecking for bits of food, fantastic colorful down feathers and wings, great typical flower designs on top of the cover and head.

Measurements: 15-1/2" long , 7" tall and 9" wide.

Signed on the underside of the lid Mexico and impressed on the bottom Made in Mexico.

Very good vintage condition. There is a tight 2" hairline crack on the lid and a 1" hairline crack on the backside by the tail. No chips crazing or glaze loss. No repairs or restorations.
