Beautiful white Chimayo blanket in very good vintage condition. Slight bleeding of red. Ca 1940. As the last creative expression of the 19th century Rio Grande blanket, the Chimayo represents a coming together of tradition and tourism, reflecting over three hundred years of village traditions that began in 1540.
