| A watercolor painting of a scene in India, during the days of the British Raj. This is one of two of the last of a series of watercolors that I purchased, by the same artist, showing similar scenes from India during this time. This one shows a group of British gentlemen, assembled in a stable yard, watching an Indian man ride a horse. During the Raj the British were able to carry on with their equestrian pursuits, enjoying horse racing, polo, and even fox hunting. Housed in a frame measuring 10 X 7 inches. | ||
