| We have a good-looking brass box, dating to the 1900 era that is decorated with various equestrian elements. On the lid is an applied figure of a fox hunter next to an engraved similar figure. And on three of the four sides you will find more engraved equestrian decorations which we have tried to show in the photos. The inside of this box is lined with wood which indicates that this is a humidor and the size suggests that it held cigarettes. Condition is good with just the expected surface scratches and a few minor dents. We haven't attempted to clean it and it could use a good polish. The hinges work well and the lid closes nicely. It measures around 4.25 inches square and 2.5 inches deep. It is quite heavy and well constructed, and would make a nice box to hold just about anything as there is no tobacco smell.
