| A very minimal design Note an evocative shape made by the lines of the protruding and important forehead and the thin long nose, eyes and mouth pierced through. Old local glue marks, probably used to affix hair to represent a beard, can be seen below the mouth. Obvious signs of use, local repairs, the mask is partly cracked but is now safely kept together by a large staple preventing any further damage. Very hard wood, old encrusted and dusty patina , white mineral pigment inside. Age: at least 50 to 100 years i.e. from early XXth. Height: 13 inches (33 cm) width: 7 inches (18 cm). The piece is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Reasonably good condition. More information on ethnic and local origin | ||
