A very original butter churner key showing a fine janus figure inserted in a square window to ensure a strong architecture. This was necessary to avoid breaking of the piece. The middle part figures a short knot, this "ghurra" has been collected in the district of Rukum (Western Nepal). Black and hard encrusted patina. Obvious signs of great age ( around 50 years). Very good condition. Height 6 1/3 inches (16 cm). The piece is nicely mounted on an iron stand
