| An important Nuo Mask figuring likely a lawyer or an official, very old polychromia with important lack, this mask was probably covered with lac as some large areas can still be seen below the noose and on the ears. Long horse tail hairs possibly added or renewed more recently . Obvious signs of great age at least 150 y, light wood as usual for a chinese old mask, but still good condition. the mask is presented on an iron stand Height 13 3/4 inches (35cm) wide 7 1/2 inches (19 cm) | ||
