SALE!!!50% off! Chinese medium cabinet, Natural Wood.
We are offering a beautiful classic Ming style, Chinese, slightly A-framed, "Noodle" Cabinet for sale. It is made from Chinese southern elm wood and covered in a clear lacquer. There are two shelves and two drawers inside (the first interior image was taken by me before they attached the reproduction hardware to the drawers in China. The third image shows the hardware). I apologize as it is in storage at the moment so I do not have the exact dimensions, (I will post them after I have gone out to pick up sold items for shipping). The estimated maximum dimensions of this A-shaped cabinet are: 36 inches [91.5 cm] (w) x 20 inches [50.5 cm) (d) x 64 inches [162.5 cm] (h). All of the hardware is new. All of the wooden parts are old, but were completely stripped after the cabinet was put together, and then re-lacquered. If you look closely at the fourth and fifth pictures, you can see that the left door is slightly off straight, but, other than that, it is nicely made and a beautiful piece. The Merchant who sold this to me insisted that it was 110 years old. However, I am sure it is not, and thus, have listed it as a reproduction, late 20th century, circa: 2000. My guarantee does not apply to this piece, as if I am wrong about my dating it as a modern reproduction, then that is my loss and the buyers gain, as an original of this style can be worth a lot of money. It is being sold as is, as a reproduction. However, I feel certain that I am correct. I have no doubt that they used parts from old pieces as components, but as for being an original piece, I do not believe that is accurate. I bought it because I thought it was a good-looking armoire.
