This is a country Ming round pottery jar measuring 3 ¼” high by 4” diameter at the waist. The main body has a tan crackle finish glaze. There is an incised circle around the jar – two underglaze blue circles encircling the base - and a simple drawing in blue underglaze of what could be a snail. The vase measures 3 ¼ ”high by 4” diameters at its widest. The bottom is unglazed and shows the tan clay from which the jar was potted. We date it to the late Ming to early Qing dynasties. It is in excellent condition.
