| This is a fine Japanese lacquer stand with a red top and sides and a black roiro lacquer bottom. The stand has a small vertical lip surrounding the top - the rim measures 1/2" high. It stands on two nicely curved legs - that makes the entire stand 2 1/2"tall. There is a minute separation where the inner bottom was adhered to the legs - mostly a very slight separation of the lacquer in these creases. We date the stand to the late Meiji toTaisho periods, circa 1900-1925. Excellent condition and a lovely stand for holding a priced flower arrangement or vase. | |||||||||||
