| A truly beautiful Awata Satsuma sake pourer with spectacular decoration of four figures in thickly applied overglaze primary colors - very lovely combination of colors on the fine crackle Satsuma ground - yellow, green, blues, reds. Signed on the side with three character signature. Measures 5 1/4" tall and is 3 1/2" diameter at the widest. Small early repair to the lip - otherwise excellent condition. I date this one to late Edo to early Meiji. One of the best in our collection. | |||||||||
