A very nice wooden carving of a young woman or girl looking in her mirror. Beautiful detail - a lovely face and fine detailing to her kimono and sash. The mirror she holds is removable - amazing that it is still with the piece and not lost. Measures 4 ½" high x 3 ¾' wide x 3 ¾" deep. Excellent condition except for the crack in the front of the piece just below the sash. The crack was there when I obtained the piece fifteen years ago and has never gotten any wider. Believed to date from the late Meiji period.
