| Lovely Japanese Satsuma chawan - this one has me puzzled - it seems modern in many ways, yet the use of the genuine gosu blue in the one crane and the waves on the side clearly say mid-Meiji in dating it - I have not been able to clearly identify the artist' signature - the is a possibility that it is Hattori-zo. At any rate, this is one really nice looking piece of Satsuma. | ||||||
