| A wonderful small tokkuri, sake pourer, with a design of alternating vertical stipes in bronze/gold, turqouise and eggplant purple - with the much coveted Gosu blue mon of the Satsuma clan on the base - making it a late Edo or early Meiji piece at the latest. A series of interesting thick enamel and gold mons or reserves arranged in a random pattern on the body of the vase completed the picture. The piece is in excellent condition - there is a very tiny chip on the rim of the pourer that does not in any way detract from the beauty or value. Seven inches tall - 4" diameter at the waste. Clearly a must for the serious collector of Satsuma. | |||||||||
