| Kakieimon bowl with a molded swirl pattern shape - persimmon and cherry branch decorations on inner sides a small ho-o bird (phoenix) en cavetto. A wonderfully loose and spare wabi sabi d้cor on outer sides that was so typical of the kakiemon style. Measures 4 7/8 diameter x 2 ผ high excellent condition no chips, hairlines, restorations. We date this one to mid to late Meiji period based on the delicacy, the thinness of the bowl and the shade of blue (which is a bit brighter and darker than that used in earlier kakiemon pieces). | ||||||||||||
