An Apple Green Small Globular Bowl - Vietnamese ?
A sweet little globular shapes bowl with an apple green crackle glaze - the the upper rim done in a medium brown glaze. The interior of the bowl is a crackle finish glaze - there are two small firing dots where ash fell onto the surface during the firing. The person from whom we purchased the item attributed the bowl to Vietnamese origin - we have no reason to doubt that, but cannot unconditionally verify it to be so. The bottom is unglazed and shows signs of quite a bit of usage.

The bowl measures 3" diameter at the top and is 2" high. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restorations. We date it to the late 19th to early 20th century - it could well be much older.
