Rare fragment of a large faience sistrum. The fragment is the upper part of a large faience sistrum with two hawks above side by side bearing the sun disk. This is a rare and interesting ancient Egyptian scaraboid. An uraei knot is depicted on the top and a Hathor sistrum flanked by two uraei is incised on the bottom. The uraei knot is much older than the Herakles knot and much probably the precursor.

This is really a fantastic fragment of a faience Isis, sitting on a lion throne, nursing her son Horus.
The whole throne, supported by two stringing lions, is well preserved. The lions are extremely fine
and you can see every detail. Dating is between Third Intermediate Period to Late Period.
I think it looks a little bit Nubian, than it is 25th Dynasty. I can not find any parallel of a
comparable faience throne, so it has to be extremely rare.

Ancient Egyptian Faience Bead for Shabaka - ca. 5,7 cm

This is a rare and large ovoid bead which is pierced longitudinally. The top has a rounded surface inscribed with the cartouche of Shabaka „Amen Meri Nefer-Ka-Ra“ and below the expression „living forever“. On the flat side of the bead is an old tag attached
which is inscribed „Meri Amen - Nefer Ka-Ra (Shabaka) (XXV Dyn) Live for ever - 1808“

This is an unusually large (3,8cm) scarab from the Third Intermediate Period. The scarab is incised with a hawk, a vulture and a scarab, all have outstretched wings. The hawk and vulture are holding a „shen“ in each claw. In Egypt, wings don't usually mean flightworthiness so much as protection. The wings of the heavenly beings spread protectively over the wearer of the amulet
