This is a really nicely carved scarab with very fine details and a very rare type of the back.
The scarab is carved with the god Re, represented as a falcon-headed human figure and in front
of him two Uraei.

Date: 2nd Intermediate Period, 13th - 17th Dynasty, circa 1782 - 1570 B.C.
Material: Steatite
Size: ca. 1,9 cm; c. 075 inches
Condition: chipped
Provenance: private collection (California, USA), formed before 1980
