Kaunsai born 1918 studied under various famous teachers and has been making dolls for over 50 years Yoshihama in the Mikawa area of Japan is known as the birthplace of Japanese doll making. Doll making has been a tradition here since farmers fashioned simple dolls out of straw in order to celebrate a bountiful rice harvest. Shiho Museum was built to preserve the beauty of this tradition and here we bring you a collection of antique dolls, ceramics, and art from all over Japan.

Aichi Shiho Museum exhibit life-size doll Yoshihama. It is a genuine life-sized doll Yoshimatsu, which was exhibited at that time. Really great work, it is not very an exaggeration to say that there is powerful living doll.
