| Rare and hard to find vintage french enamelware watering can in light blue with cobalt blue trim, c. 1940. It is in excellent condition for its age with some loss of enamel. The can is large and the enamel is very heavy. It measures 14" high to the top of the handle and 18" wide from end of spout to end of handle. It has an overhead handle and a side handle and a top hinge that opens to fill with water. It is watertight and does not leak. I was recently told these cans were originally used by servants to transport hot water to tubs upstairs and was also used in hospitals for hot water to patients. A great addition to your collection! | ||||||||
