Set of 4 English Antique Cobalt Blue Bottles Poison
Wonderful set of 4 antique English cobalt blue bottles with original labels and stoppers in wonderful condition. The largest is a beautiful blue bottle with a red label. The label says The Liverpool Hotel and THE MILLION STORES, POISON. Public Supply Stores Co Ltd 2,4,6,& 8 Church Street, Liverpool J G Lee Chemist by Examination. It measures 6.5" high including stopper and 2" wide. It is 6 sided. I could find no chips or cracks. The next largest bottle is 6.5" high to the top of the cork and 1.25" across. The label says MOSQUITO OR GNAT BITE LOTION. There are no chips or cracks. The next largest measures 6" high to the top of the glass stopper and 1.75" wide. The label says PAREGORIC. POISON. HEDLEY E. DWELLY High - class drug store 41 Acton Lane, Harlesden.N.W. There are some chips to the bottom of the glass stopper. The smallest bottle measures 3" high and .75" across. It is 8 sides. The label says Oil of Spike Lavender For the prevention of insect bites. Apply to the back of the hands, ankles and behind the ears occasionally. W. S. Wain, chemist, ripley. There are no chips or cracks. These bottles date to the early 1900's. Just a great set!
