A fine and unusual pair of 18th century antique Chinese Qianlong marks and period blue and white porcelain cup stands, of boat shape and finely decorated allover in good strong underglazed cobalt-blue with scrolling flowers, bats and auspicious symbols, the underside glazed white and inscribed with the four-character Qianlong reign mark.
NOTE : Although these cup stands are without doubt Qianlong marks and period, however, they were "minyao" products and not Imperial.
DATE : Chinese, Qing Dynasty, marks and period of Qianlong (1736 – 1795).
MARK : underglazed-blue four-character Qianlong seal mark on base.
SIZE : one stand approximately 5 5/8" (14.4 cm) long x 3 1/8" (8 cm) width, the second one differs slightly of about 5 7/8" (15 cm) long x 3" (7.7 cm) width.
CONDITION : both stands are in excellent with some tiny production glaze nibs around the rim and body, one stand has two tiny glaze rim flakes (see picture). No cracks or other damages, and no repairs.
