A fine and rare Ming dynasty 16th century antique Chinese parcel-gilt bronze vase, of small size, the bulbous body superbly cast with a "chilong" dragon in high relief entwining the tall slender neck rising to a trumpet opening, supported on a high circular foot, the metal of brilliant deep chocolate-brown with areas gilded. DATE : Chinese, late Ming Dynasty, circa 16th Century.
MARK : no mark or signature.
SIZE : approximately 7 1/2" (19 cm) high.
CONDITION : in excellent overall condition, wear to gilding as to be expected, a few very minor and shallow dents around the sides of body, and tiny denting to the top and bottom rims noted for accuracy only. No other damages or repairs noted.
