A very fine and large 19th century Chinese blue and white porcelain vase, superbly potted and finely decorated in the Kangxi manner of large "ruyi" pattern around the shoulder, the body exquisitely painted in strong underglazed-blue of birds and butterflies hovering above flowering branches issuing from rockworks, interior and underside glazed white, the base inscribed with the Qianlong mark in "kaishu" script within double concentric blue circles. (Wooden stand not included)
