A very fine 19th century Chinese blue and white porcelain tulip / crocus vase, well potted with a tall central cylindrical neck rising to a lotus bud opening, the lobed body with conjunction of five vases with top apertures, decorated in strong underglazed-blue with figures in landscape, birds and flowering branches, all surrounded by lotus scrolls, band of "ruyi" head pattern around the shoulder, lappets encircling the foot, interior and base glazed white. Comes with a later date custom made wooden stand.
DATE : Chinese, Qing Dynasty, late 19th century, Guangxu period.
MARK : no mark or signature.
SIZE : approximately 9 1/4" (23.5 cm) high; 11" (28 cm) overall height with wood stand.
CONDITION : in perfect condition with no chips, no cracks, and no repairs; wood stand also perfect.
