A very fine and rare 18th century Chinese "Guan" type celadon glazed porcelain alms bowl, the large size deep circular bowl superbly potted and beautifully covered inside and out with a light celadon glaze suffused with faint and darker streaks of crackles, top rim glazed white, the unglazed foot rim displaying a smooth dense grain paste characteristic of 18th century porcelain, comes with an old and exquisitely carved and pierced hardwood cover with an agate bead finial. (Wooden stand not included)

MARK : no mark or signature.
SIZE : approximately 7" (17.8 cm) high including wood cover; 8 3/4" (22.2 cm) body diameter.
CONDITION : in immaculate condition with minor glaze wear; just a pinhead size production burst glaze bubble to inside top rim and one to the base noted for accuracy only. Wooden cover is also perfect. No damage or repair of any kind noted.
