A very fine and rare 18th century Chinese Qianlong mark and period gilt decorated coral ground porcelain wine cup, the rounded bowl finely potted and decorated in gold around the exterior with three detached sprays of flowering scrolls, all between bands of scrollwork and lappets, reserved on coral-red ground, interior of the cup glazed turquoise, top rim gilded, the base glazed white and inscribed with the Qianlong reign mark in underglazed-blue and of the period. (Wooden stand not included)
DATE : Chinese, Qing Dynasty, mark and period of Qianlong (1736 – 1795).
MARK : underglazed-blue four-character Qianlong seal mark on base.
SIZE : approximately 1 7/8" (4.7 cm) high; 3 3/8" (8.5 cm) diameter.
CONDITION : in perfect condition; no chips, no cracks, and no repairs.
