A very fine and rare 18th century Chinese Qianlong mark and period gilt decorated coral ground porcelain wine cup, the small size ogee form rounded bowl delicately potted and superbly painted in gold around the exterior with three detached sprays of lotus flowers with feathery scrolls, all between decorative scrollwork bandings encircling around the top and bottom rims, reserved on coral-red ground, top rim gilded, interior and base of the cup glazed turquoise and bearing the Qianlong reign mark in underglazed-blue and of the period. DATE : Chinese, Qing Dynasty, mark and period of Qianlong (1736 – 1795).
MARK : underglazed-blue four-character Qianlong seal mark on base.
SIZE : approximately 1 1/4" (3.2 cm) high; 2 3/4" (7 cm) diameter.
CONDITION : in perfect condition; no chips, no cracks, and no repairs.
