A fine and rare 18th / 19th century Chinese famille-rose porcelain bowl, Jiaqing mark and period, the large bowl well potted with wavy rim, finely decorated around the exterior with groups of eight detached flowering branches, all above a band of sixteen iron-red shield-form cartouches containing flowers, interior of the bowl painted with two birds and two flowers, surrounding a circular pattern of peaches, bat, and green leaves, top rim gilded, base of the bowl glazed white and inscribed with the Jiaqing reign mark and is of the period. (Wooden stand not included)
DATE : Chinese, Qing Dynasty, mark and period of Jiaqing (1796 – 1820).
MARK : iron-red six-character Jiaqing seal mark on base.
SIZE : approximately 2 3/8" (6 cm) high; about 7 1/8" (18.2 cm) diameter.
CONDITION : in excellent condition, minor wear to glaze and gilding; just a tiny rim chip professionally repaired. No any other damage or repair noted.
