A fine quality and rare 18th century antique Chinese silver inlaid bronze tripod incense burner and wooden cover, well cast and supported on three tall cylindrical legs with sides rising to a lipped rim topped with two upright loop handles, finely worked allover in silver-wires with 'taotie' masks and 'leiwen' patterns, the bronze metal of very fine even dark-brown color retaining its original patina. The custom made wooden cover (possibly 19th century) is also a works of art with superb carving and piercing of fruiting branches and flowers. A wooden stand also included.

MARK : no base mark or signature.
SIZE : approximately 8 1/2" high without cover or stand, 5 1/2" across handles.
CONDITION : excellent condition with a small repair to one leg (see last image) only, the cover is perfect, no chips, no cracks, and no repairs.
