A very fine and superb 18th century antique Chinese Cloisonne Enamel Quatrefoil Jardiniere, formed with four bracket-lobed sides, exquisitely enameled on each side with a 'ruyi' border green-ground cartouche enclosing a colorful bat suspending a musical stone amidst floral sprays, surrounded by four further bats in flight amidst foliate scrolls against a turquoise ground repeated around the everted rim, all raised on four 'ruyi' feet around the base decorated with rows of red and green flower heads.
DATE : Chinese, Qing Dynasty, 18th Century, Yongzheng / Qianlong period.
MARK : no base mark or signature.
SIZE : approximately 3" high, 8 7/8" maximum width.
CONDITION : excellent condition with minor wear and characteristic enamel pitting only. No chips, no cracks, and no repairs.
