A fine and very rare 18th century Chinese Qianlong mark and period gilt-decorated blue-glazed porcelain bottle vase, of small size, covered in a deep sapphire-blue glaze, the globular body finely painted in gold with sprays of flowers between bands of "ruyi" motifs around shoulder and foot, the cylindrical neck decorated with stiff leaves and small "ruyi" pattern encircling the rim, top rim gilded, the concaved base glazed white and inscribed with the Qianlong reign mark in blue. (Wooden stand NOT included).
PROVENANCE : Delaware Toy and Miniature Museum, Wilmington, USA.
DATE : Chinese, Qing Dynasty, mark and period of Qianlong (1736 – 1795).
MARK : underglazed-blue four-character Qianlong seal mark on base.
SIZE : approximately 3 3/4" (9.5 cm) high.
CONDITION : perfect condition with small amount of gilding wear only. No chips, no cracks, and no repairs.
