Fine Large 19th C Chinese White Glazed Wall Vase, Mark

A fine large and unusual late 19th century Chinese white glazed porcelain wall-vase, the baluster form vase relief decorated with a large panel of seven finely detailed Buddhist-lions playing a ribbon-tied ball amongst flame-scrolls, the trumpet neck further decorated with a pair of lions within rectangular cartouche, all against a beaded background, together with a pair of lion-masks to each side forming as handles, covered allover in an evenly white glazed except the reverse of the vase which is unglazed, the countersunk base with an impressed Qianlong seal mark. (Wooden stand not included).

NOTE : It is rather unusual to find a Chinese porcelain wall-vase of such large size and in white glazed.

DATE : Chinese, late Qing Dynasty / early Republic period, circa 1910.

MARK : impressed six-character Qianlong seal mark on base.

SIZE : approximately 9" (22.8 cm) high, 10 1/4" (26 cm) across handles.

CONDITION : perfect condition, minor glaze skips and areas of staining. No chips, no cracks, and no repairs.
