A fine and very rare early 19th century Chinese Peking / Beijing amber glass snuff bottle, the cylindrical bottle tapered gently to the base and raised on a low circular foot rim, the body finely incised with four rows of seven-character inscriptions / poem, each character highlighted in gilt, the reverse incised with six batch of scattered bamboo leaves also gilded, bottle very well hollowed and translucent, with a later replacement stopper and spoon. (Wooden stand not included).
DATE : Chinese, Qing Dynasty, early 19th Century.
MARK : no base mark or signature.
SIZE : the bottle approximately 2 5/8" (6.6 cm) high excluding stopper.
CONDITION : perfect condition apart from a pinhead size nib to the top rim, minor loss of gilding only. No cracks or any other damages, and no repairs.
