Kim Loves Vintage is one of Floridaís quality collections of vintage costume jewelry. Kim has been collecting costume jewelry for over Thirty Five years. She has a degree in Fine Art from the University of Florida, with a specialty in Jewelry Construction and Wheel thrown ceramics. Kimís shop in the Antique Sampler brick and mortar store boasts of thousands of pieces of jewelry that fill 6 large showcases.
Kimís collection includes necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings and brooches ranging from Fabulous 1930's sterling rhinestone fur clips by Eisenberg and Trifari tosimple everyday costume jewelry of the 1950ís to the most elaborate and glamorous jewels to over the top runway jewelry by famous designers like Kenneth Lane. Her collection also includes vintage compacts, Tiaras & headbands, and purses. Bakelite, one of Kimís personal favorites fills one of the cases at her shop, figural pins, Victorian jewelry, an extensive selection of designer signed jewels by some of the most important designers , including Chanel, Trifari, Haskell, Hobe, Boucher, and many others.
Kim is a Nationally known collector and has given a lectures on Vintage Costume Jewelry at the Bi-Annual Vintage Fashion and Costume Jewelry Convention in Rhode Island and other Vintage Jewelry conventions across the United States. Portions of Kimís personal collection are featured in the ďInside the Jewelry BoxĒ costume jewelry book series by Ann M. Pitman.
In addition to Kimís vintage collection, she has created a one of a kind line of vintage collage jewelry ranging from designer bracelets made of vintage components to restrung and designed bakelite charm necklaces. Kimís original pieces are highly sought after by regional collectors who have recognized them for their quality components, construction and design elements.
