Gorgeous 32 inch Schreiner belt with red chatons and clear inverted stones and Cranberry Red cabachons with gold leaf flakes. Textured hook and incredibly beautiful construction. All Schreiner belts were made during the 1960's. In her book The Confident Collector: Costume Jewelry her personal interview with Terry Schreiner the daughter of Henry Schreiner, Terry discusses the belts that were made. She said they did lots of custom belts, but they had to stop production because the stones became so expensive. In the interview in 1994, she said at that time the belts would have to sell for Two to Three Thousand dollars because of the wonderful high quality stones and craftsmanship. This belt is a true treasure especially for the advanced collector. Lots of photos to show all the details. I have more photos, email me for the album link if you are interested.

This Coro Owl Carved Lucite Jelly Belly Necklace is identical to the set of Coro Brooches I have in another listing and are very unusual. I have seen the coro duette owls but these are not a duette, they are companion pieces. Please see the side view for more detail, the belly is a deep honey color. In very good vintage condition appropriate for its age. This owl is on a chain that is signed Trifari, but it is not Trifari. The Identical owls are signed. I have consulted with Marcia Brown, the author of Coro Jewelry, A Collector's Guide while I was at the International Vintage Fashion and Costume Jewelry convention in October of 2009. She examined these pieces very carefully and agrees that these are probably not reproductions, that one of them IS older than the other and that perhaps the design was retrieved from the archive, adjusted and re manufactured. That would account for the slight differences in the finish, the ears, the color of the lucite and the different sized cabachons used in the eyes. Marcia felt that the owl with the flatter cabachon eyes. Slightly over 2 inches tall, pair them up with the brooches in my other listing, they are a nice pair if you want to make a statement.

Kenneth Jay Lane fine english bone china bracelet by Royal Worcester. Kenneth Jay Lane designed a line of exquisitely hand painted porcelain bracelets, pendants and collars in "best times" he had walking the samples through the processes by hand himself. These porcelain pieces are somewhat rare as they are difficult to find in perfect condition as they are porcelain. I suspect most people bought them as collectibles rather than for wearing. I am including some photos of the necklaces and hang tags. Necklaces and hang tags are NOT included only the bracelet which came with a similarly styled pair of earrings, they are not attributed to KJL, but I will include them for you as a gift, they are a nice companion pair. Last documented sale of one of these rare porcelain pieces is 2001 Christies sold a necklace for $470. This is a prized bracelet for any collector of KJL. Bracelet has a circular cut on the inside, this would be the stilt mark where the bracelet was held during the kiln firing, this is not a flaw. Please see the companion bracelet I have available for sale, purchase both and receive a substantial discount!!
