| A print book titled " Nihon Kairui Zufu " A collection of Japanese Shells with illustrations in natural colors , third edition, by Shintaro Hirase ( 1884- 1939 ) is published 1934 . He was a Japanese malacologist , well-known scholar specialized in shell and his father, Yoichiro Hirase, (1859-1925) was also a malacologist. It contains 130 pages of various shells photos and 217 pages with descriptions ( it should have 1360 different shells ) . Some are written in English and it is easy to understand with great photos. Due to use and age,there are some stains, and tears, wear along the edges ( mostly outside covers ). W 6.25 " x H 9 " x 1 " D ( W 15.9 cm x H 22.9cm x D 2.5 cm ) | ||
