| This rare and exquisite, c1950, 3 strand bracelet, is comprised of milk glass beads, dark green with gilt speckled Peking Glass beads that look like Jade, and faceted smokey topaz colored crytal beads. The elaborately designer medallion on the clasp, features an intricate design, more reminiscent of Miriam Haskell than Robert DeMario. The bracelet was purchased along with a lot, feom an estate, that included 3 other pieces, marked DeMario. Thus, I am attributing, this unsigned bracelet to DeMario, as it was contained within the lot. The handwired seed pearl florets, are embellished with a larger central flower, comprised of incised glass petals. They are adorned with brass embossed leaves and petals, surrounding prong set citrine colored rhinestones. The clasp shows considerable wear,and loss of plating on the underside, and on the latch...not on the visible areas. as it obviously went out, on many nights. There is about 1/4" of space, on one of the strands, which indicates that it will require restringing of the strand, at a later date. Measures 7.75" long, and 1" width. As collectible as it is beautiful. The hand workmanship, and wonderful quality of materials, makes this costume jewelry collectible, one that they'll remember! | ||
