| Wooden statue of an official, 19th or 18th C. Height 37,5cm. The original lacquer of the robe has been touched up somewhere in the past with bronze paint. There's a crack running through the face that has been filled with paper; it looks like an old repair. Especially the base shows considerable damage caused by worms (not active). Weakened by this, part of the base at the front has gone missing. The cavity at the back is empty. The face is quite well-carved | ||||||||||||||
