A panel of gold brocaded silk with a pattern of lotus-flowers.
Late Ming or early Qing, ca. 17th century. Full loom-width with double selvage.
Dim.: W x H 66 x 62cm, mounted on a frame.
The flat-gold paper has lost all of it’s gold and shows some wear but is of fine workmanship with 20 stripes per cm.
The flowers are well positioned which is more exception than rule.
In general good condition with some wear along the selvages.
