Born in Dresden, Rudolph studied with the legendary portraitist Hugo Erfurth, before opening her own photography atelier in 1924. She quickly established herself as the preeminent photographer of modern dance in Germany, capturing iconic images of Gret Palucca and Mary Wigman. Her Dresden studio and archives were destroyed during World War II. |
