An Absolutely Beautiful Set of Antique French Transferware Plates! Each "Story" Plate has a different scene for each month of the year, here you have 7 months. Each scene is in great detail in black on creamy white. The brown border is stunning! Circa late 1880's.Factory markings on reverse: "U & C Opaque de Sarreguemines 1855" See enlargements! Each plate measures 8 3/8" across. All in very nice condition...some discoloration due to age, only one has a chip on the back which is not visible from the front. Please see close ups! |
