| Maker of this beautiful Buffalo Head Sleeping Beauty Turquoise carving is unknown to me. It is marked T.L.B. 94 on the bottom. Glass eyes and the horns of the buffalo are carved from real horn and not plastic. Found this piece in a trading post in Gallup, New Mexico. Size is 3 inches high and 2 inches wide measured on the back of the head. Length of head is 3 inches. Wooden base is 3 3/8 inches long, 2 ½ inches wide and 7/8 inches high. Fur is Buffalo. Total weight is 12.30 oz. or 349 grams. Not able to weight the Buffalo turquoise head by it self, but there are a lot of turquoise carats in this piece. | ||
