Santo Domingo Depression Bird Earrings 1930s
These wonderful charming bird earrings feature dots -- possibly by the same maker as my necklace, item # 224, and a great design. The black chest made of jet gives dimension and contrasts the downturned wings outlined in white. The red triangle at the tail balances the triangle used for the beak. Overall, these are very artistic touches and provide a terrific example of Depression jewelry. Easily converted, should you choose to do so, from screwback to post or wire. I can do this for you for a nominal fee, or the loops open easily and you can get the findings at most craft stores or a jewelry supply store. Earrings are 1 inch long without the wire and ¾ inches wide.
