| Outstanding contemporary jeweler Brett W. Bastien from Santa Fe, New Mexico handcrafted this Loloma style inlaid bracelet. He is one of the few Anglo artisans to study at the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA). He studied under Famous silversmith Danny Romero, Duane Maktima and Otellie Pasaveva Loloma. He also teaches some classes at the Institute of Fine Arts in Mesa, Arizona. This contemporary heavy sterling silver bracelet is inlaid with ironwood, natural Morenci turquoise, natural Blue Gem turquoise, natural No.8 turquoise and natural King’s Menassa turquoise, red coral, a small piece of Sugilite and fossilized Mastodon Ivory. An 18K gold piece is inlaid on the end of the center coral stones and sterling silver spacers are also applied. The bracelet is stamped with the maker’s initials, BWB, and .925 and 18K. Inside measurements end-to-end are 5 7/8 inches. Opening is 1 1/2 inches. Bracelet is 15/16 inches wide. Weight is 3.75 oz. or 106 grams. | ||
